FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. One of the former Presidents Donald Trumps last rally before the coronavirus pandemic was at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, in November 2019.
He is returning, only two years later.
The former president teamed up with former Fox News host Bill OReilly for a series of four talks in December.
The first date, a public relations firm announced Monday, is Dec. 11 at the Sunrise arena. Like all major arena shows, tickets go on sale six months in advance. (Starting Monday at Ticketmaster.com.)
OReilly has written many popular books about historical events, and event planners have described her as a historian / journalist. He was formerly a top star on Foxs, and the cable news host with the highest rating. His tenure ended in April 2017, weeks after The New York Times revealed a series of sexual harassment allegations against him.
Trump, who denied allegations of pre-presidentiated sexual harassment made against him, defended OReilly at the time. I don’t think Bill did anything wrong, he said. I think he’s a well -known person I know he’s a good person.
Since stepping down from the presidency, many of Trump’s public statements have continued his false false claim that widespread voter fraud was the reason he lost and President Joe Biden won the 2020 election. On Saturday, he spoke Trump at the North Carolina Republican Party convention, and indicated he could run again in 2024.
The description of the Trump-OReilly talks, which organizers called The History Tour, says Trump will provide an unheard of internal view of his administration that will be historic in itself.
OReilly said in the announcement that her job as a historian / journalist is to capture important things on record in a fact -based manner. These talks with the 45th president will not be boring.
Trump said the events will be surprising but hard to hit in sessions where there is great discussion of the real problems happening in the US, the ones not mentioned by Fake News Media. I will focus on greatness for our Country, something that is rarely discussed in political dialogue. If we don’t make our Country great again, we will soon have a Country!
The tour has three other dates: Dec. 12, in a location to announce; Dec. 18 at the Toyota Center in Houston; and Dec. 19 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Trump filled the 20,000-seat BB&T Center to capacity for his pre-Thanksgiving rally in 2019. He also held a rally there in August 2016, but it did not fill the venue.
Barack Obama, then a Democratic presidential candidate, held two rallies in 2008 at what was then called the BankAtlantic Center. In one of the shows, he made a geographic faux pas. He referred to the city of Sunrise as Sunshine.
In May 2019, former first lady Michelle Obama conducted a book-tour conversation before a selling crowd in the arena.
