Donald Raymond James, 64, of Homerville passed away Sunday (June 13, 2021) at Baptist Medical Hospital in Jacksonville, FL after a brief illness. He was born in Clinch County to the late John Huey and Betty Griffis James. Mr. James lived in Manor, GA most of his life until he moved to Homerville in 2018. He grew up attending Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy in Manor and attended Manor Community Baptist Church in Manor later. of life.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Ronald Floyd James and Jimmy Carl James; a niece, Miranda Mullis.
Survivors include four siblings, Marie Mullis (wife Douglas) of Axson, GA, Betty Benson (wife Chester) of Flintstone, MD, Velda Smith of Manor, and Bonnie Joyce (wife Don) of Homerville; a brother, Huey Milton James (wife Barbara) of Manor; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 am at Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy in the Manor. Burial will follow at Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
