As the Manhattan attorneys ’office appears to be zeroing in on a trusted Trump Organization official for the indictment, Donald Trump’s former lawyer and“ fixer ”recalls, another time the former president’s real estate company was in middle of a criminal inquiry.

“Donald told me,‘ If one of the two has to end up going, let it Don: He can handle it, ’” Cohen recalled Trump saying.
This conversation took place in 2012 when the office of the same district attorney, headed by Cyrus Vance Jr., was considering bringing felony fraud charges against Trump’s two oldest children on allegations that were deliberately intended they misleading information to prospective buyers in Trump SoHo, a hotel and condo development in Manhattan.

Cohen is preliminary in interviews and on her own podcast, Mea Culpa, about collaborating in the investigation. He also said he had a personal and painful experience with Trump that expected his constituents to fall for him.
Cohen, who was once notorious that he would take the bullet for Trump, served a year in federal prison after pleading guilty in 2018 to campaigning for financial violations he said he committed under Trump’s direction. In connection with the current Manhattan DA investigation, Lincoln Project co-hosts Tara Setmayer and Rick Wilson noted that Cohen had previously predicted that Trump would flip Weisselberg, as well as his children and even his spouse, if necessary.
Cohen predicted that Trump would first flip Trump Jr. and send him to jail, while offering examples of how his oldest son has long been the target of his frustration and anger. After that, Trump could flip the middle kid, Eric, that Ivanka is “No. 3.”

“The only one that I think is still left here is Eric, you know, nobody even knows where Melania and Barron are. I mean, for you know, they’re on the space shuttle now with Jeff Bezos,” joked by Cohen.
