30% of GOP voters believe Trump is ‘likely’ to be president in 2022 – poll

Nearly a third (30%) of Republican voters believe it is “likely” that Donald Trump will retake the Oval Office and restore it as President of the United States, a new poll has found, according to The Hill.

The poll still showed a majority of Republicans, Democrats and independents think Trump is unlikely to return to office.

However, 13% of Democrats agree with nearly a third of Republicans that a Trump return in 2022 is “likely,” as is more than a quarter (26%) of independents.

The survey, taken from June 17 to June 18, follows reports from earlier this month that Trump himself told people he would return in August, citing his claims – all of which have been proven there is no basis – that the 2020 election was “stolen” from him, The Hill reported.

But whatever people believe, Trump will become president in 2022, in fact, next to the impossible regardless of the circumstances. Joe Biden’s election victory is certified and the line of presidential order established in the United States Constitution dictates exactly who will cover if something happens to him.

A legal mechanism or constitutional provision that would, somehow, enable Trump to re -enter the White House as president does not exist.
