Donald Edward Blankenship passed away on January 19, 2021, at his daughter’s home in

Dayton following an extended illness.

There was a celebration of life service held at David

The Cemetery Mausoleum on June 27, 2 p.m., led by Pastor Elliott Smith. Her ashes will be laid in her husband’s Mausoleum at a later date.

Born Feb. 6, 1943, to Virginia and Hansel Blankenship in Pikeville Kentucky, Don moved to Kettering in the late 1960s, working many jobs before finding the one that best suited him. Don has worked for Southview and Kettering Hospitals for over 35 years as a lab curener, and has also called bingo in various places for many years.

He preceded the deaths of his loving wife Linda Blankenship and his son Bryan Donahue. He is survived by his daughter Angela Ward, his son and daughter -in -law David and Chena Blankenship and granddaughter Rylee and son Chena

Scottie. He is also survived by Linda’s daughter Robyn Smith, Robyn’s children Nicole Donahue, Lindsey Patrick, Brendon Smith and Robyn’s many wonderful grandchildren.
