Online searches for John Boltons White House memoir may have thrown up several different wild results had former President Donald Trumps former national security adviser had a method.
The Boltons 2020 account of the 17 months he served under the Trump administration eventually ended up titled The Room Where It Happened. But Bolton wants to call the book A Hard Pounding, Simon & Schuster CEO Jon Karp revealed in a video released online on Tuesday.
For the original title for that book, Ambassador Bolton wanted to call it A Hard Pounding, which is actually a quote from the Duke of Wellington after the Battle of Waterloo, Karp said, whose publishing company released autobiographical account.
The book itself accuses Trump of wrongdoing, but is angry for Bolton for not speaking out against the former president during his time in the White House.
But we told Mr. Bolton that some people might think that a hard beating has a sexual connotation, Karp continued. He told us our minds were in the ditch, and we were compromised in The Room Where It Happened. And I think it all worked out better.
