Zvonimir Jurlina and Gabriel Brown, both New Yorkers, were charged this week with destroying media equipment in the riot at the Capitol.

WASHINGTON Two New York men were separately charged this week with destroying cameras and other equipment left behind by members of the media who were forced to flee from the Capitol ground by a pro-Trump mob on Jan. 6.

Zvonimir Jurlina, of Farmington, New York, and Gabriel Brown, of Bayville, New York, were charged with destruction of property in a special jurisdiction and committing a movement of physical violence in the grounds of the Capitol. Brown was also charged with entering a restricted area without legal authority.

According to court documents filed Monday, Jurlina allegedly posted several videos on her Zykotik YouTube page that appear to show her participating in the riot at the Capitol. Investigators said those videos showed Jurlina kicking and trying to burn cameras and other equipment. The equipment was left behind by members of the media, some of whom were attacked by members of the pro-Trump mob. At least one other defendant, Shane Woods, has been charged with assaulting a photographer.

In the videos, investigators said Jurlina could also be heard talking about the theft of some of the equipment, which, they said, she eventually took with a microphone as a souvenir.

Yo, we should guess the robbery now right? Jurlina was allegedly heard saying. This is relatively expensive equipment. I thought doing it I would just pick it up and then go to a pawn shop.

According to billing documents, at another point in the video, Jurlina can be heard saying she tried to burn the media equipment.

I tried. Little Marco Rubio gave me the light, Jurlina said.

In a video since being removed from her YouTube page, Zurlina described herself as a patriot, and called on former President Donald Trump to pay for his defense.

I am a true American patriot, Jurlina said. But I want to say, Donald Trump, please pay my legal bill, because it all happened because of you.

In a separate filing, Brown was similarly accused of trying to smash cameras and other equipment in the Capitol grounds. He was also accused of entering a restricted area of the yard using a bullhorn, which, investigators said, he had previously shouted an apparent threat to the Capitol.

You stole the senate from us, you stole the house from us, and you think you stole the presidency from us? Brown shouted. Let me tell you something you want to remove the peaceful revolution from us? So, you better prepare for that [expletive] violent revolution.

Investigators say Brown can also be seen signing his name and word Freedom !! on a banner in a subsequent video from Jan. 6. In the video, the FBI said hearing Brown explain, I signed my John Hancock here, because I give my life to freedom, and I stand by it as I always have .

Jurlina was arrested Monday in Austin, Texas. On Tuesday, a federal magistrate judge released him under supervision, with orders to turn over his passport to pretrial services and not own a gun while he awaits trial.

Brown was arrested Wednesday morning. It was not immediately clear on Wednesday afternoon if he had even made a preliminary appearance with a judge.
