Donald Trumps company is set to be charged with tax -related crimes

DONALD TRUMPS COMPANY is expected to be charged with tax-related crimes stemming from a New York investigation into former business contacts, according to Press Association sources.

The charges against the Trump Organization and the company’s chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, appear to involve non-monetary benefits provided by the firm to senior executives, possibly including the use of apartments, cars and school tuition.

The Wall Street Journal first reported that the charges are expected tomorrow.

The charges against Weisselberg and the Trump Organization will be the first criminal cases to emerge from a two -year investigation led by Manhattan district attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.

Prosecutors are investigating Trump’s tax records, submitting documents and interviewing witnesses, including Trump insiders and company executives.

A grand jury was recently set up to weigh the evidence and New York attorney Letitia James said she is assigning two attorneys to work with Vance on the criminal investigation while he continues a civil investigation into Trump.

Jason Miller, a former senior Trump adviser, has rounded out the emerging charges as politically terrible for Democrats.

Trump, who has been critical of President Joe Bidens ’immigration policies, is in Texas visiting the Mexican border today. He did not respond to questions about the charges as he joined a briefing with state officials.

Trump Organization lawyers met with Manhattan prosecutors last week in a final attempt to prevent them from charging the company. Prosecutors have given lawyers a deadline Monday to make the case that criminal charges should not be filed.

Ron Fischetti, an attorney for the Trump Organization, told the Associated Press this week that there was no indication that Trump himself was included in the first group of charges.

No charges are dropping this week against the former president, Fischetti said. I can’t say he came from the woods completely.

Weisselberg, who has been loyal to Trump and the father who developed the property, Fred, has been criticized in part for questions about his son’s use of a Trump apartment at little or no cost.
