Conservative DeSantis is widely cited as a possible Trump successor if the former president does not run again, and Trump Jr. stood up with a wide smile and arms spread wide as the crowd cheered Sims’ suggestion.

Trump’s remarks covered popular GOP positions starting to attack the news media. Literally fighting against a multitrillion-dollar mainstream media that has completely decided to be the marketing arm of the other side, he said.

Trump said the thought leaders had never met someone in the outside world.

He compared it to his trip to Scotland at the start of Brexit when the family would open a golf course.

Greenskeepers and local media are two groups of people living in the same small town, they have never known each other, Trump said. Neither side understands the logic (Brexit) of the other side.

And that’s what happened in America, Trump said. There are a large tranche of people who literally have no one speaking for it.

Trump criticized President Biden as a radical in almost everything, including his nomination to David Chipman to run the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Guns and Fireworks. He’s literally nominating the sad side of the anti-2A, Trump said, someone who doesn’t believe you should have an AR-15, someone who doesn’t believe in standard capacity magazines.

Republicans have tried to act on principles for 50 years, Trump said, but it hasn’t worked.

Your principles don’t exist, because they take sports, they take the news, they take pop culture, pretty much everything, he said.

And if you look at what they really did and how people lost their minds to adapt, Donald Trump seems to be one of the few who can get through, really willing to take some catapults and arrows …. If we’re all equal in this fight, if we’re not afraid to cancel, they can’t cancel 150 million Americans.
