Former President Donald Trump met with Boos from UFC fans in Las Vegas before UFC 264.

One of the best political events in American history was attendance at UFC 264 on Saturday, as former President Donald Trump made his first appearance at a sporting event since losing the 2020 national election.

The former president was met by a chorus of boos from most of the Vegas crowd when he entered the T-Mobile arena, in the middle of a co-main event between Gilbert Burns and Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson.

Trump lost by a 2.4 percent margin in Nevada in November, but not without his supporters claiming the election was marred by voter fraud.

However, despite the futility of the legal battle, Trump officially lost the state of Nevada on Nov. 24, which Nevada Supreme Court officially confirmed Joe Biden as the winner in six state election votes.

Trump made his first appearance at a UFC event since his 2019 appearance at UFC 244 in New York City; an event titled by Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz.

The former president is a longtime friend of UFC president Dana White, UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal, and even former NFL star turned UFC fighter Greg Hardy who will appear on the main event card.

Despite his popularity among UFC bronzes and even among some fighters, the former president remains a polarized figure in the world of the sport, which was full display on Saturday night.

The former president lost the popular vote in the United States by more than 7 million ballots last year, after a turbulent four -year operation in the White House.

Trump was partly blamed for the Jan. 6 unrest and siege of the United States Capitol building after inciting violence against politicians at a nearby political rally.

While Trump is currently under criminal investigation in New York state and may face a federal charge, he continues to present himself to the public in hopes of regaining public support.

Thanks to White, Trump will always have a cage on the side of UFC events, welcomed by fans or not.
