Donald R. Pap Huffman Sr.

Donald R. “Pap” Huffman Sr., 83, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday July 10, 2021 a Geisinger Medical Center-Danville.

Born August 15, 1937 in Granville, he was the son of the late Jesse and Cinderella (Watts) Huffman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife Bonnie L. (Miller) Huffman, who passed away Dec. 4, 2009; his brothers, George, Claire “Ike”, Larry Lee, and Richard “Dick” Huffman and sisters, Betty Shirk and Sue Williams.

Donald is survived by his loving children, Donald R. Huffman Jr., of New York; Carol A. Huffman and Robby Hawkins, of Maine; Connie S. Huffman, and wife Michael Smith, and Ronald L. Huffman all of Lewistown; siblings, Jim Huffman and Linda Huffman, both of Granville; grandchildren, Keshia N. Christison, Tabitha A. Frawkins, Alec R. Smith, Evan M. Smith, Austin R. Huffman and Jennifer L. Huffman and great -grandchildren, Ella L. Christison.

Donald enlisted in The United States Navy which honorably served from 1958 to 1962. At that time, he was aboard the USS Essex.

He worked at Standard Steel for many years as a machinist retiring in 2018.

He was a member of Lewistown Moose Lodge No. 143 and of the American Legion. What means most to Donald are his grandchildren, they are his pride and joy, not missing an opportunity to attend one of their events.

A funeral service in loving memory to Donald will be held at 4 pm on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown with the Rev. John Walters to oversee. There will be a viewing held at the funeral home from 2 pm until the time of the service.

Interment will take place at Pine Glen Cemetery.
