CLEVELAND, Ohio Republican candidates for the Ohios seat in the U.S. Senate are fighting for the approval of former president Donald Trumps.

So, maybe not all of them. State Senate Matt Dolan is still weighing whether to run for the seat and plans a full statewide hearing. But Dolan was critical of Trump’s role in the Jan. 6 insurrection, so if he decides to run, he will let him stand out from the other candidates, who desperately want Trump’s endorsement. In Cleveland, former Nickelodeon TV star Jared Bell was sentenced to probation for charges involving alleged sexual assault on a girl. And Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose confirmed that voter fraud in the state is very rare … there were 13 cases among the more than 5.9 million votes elected in the 2020 election.
