Amandla Stenberg, Laura Dern and Donald Sutherland are set to join the ensemble cast of the animated film ‘Ozi’.
Djimon Hounsou, RuPaul and Dean Charles-Chapman are also among those who lend their voices to the new film.
The motion picture focuses on the fog in the jungles of Indonesia, following the story of a young orangutan, Ozi, who was orphaned when his home in the forest burned down.
Amandla will announce the title character of the film, Laura will voice her mother, Donald will announce an albino crocodile, Djimon will voice Ozi’s father, Dean will voice Ozi’s guide Chance and RuPaul voice Gurd , son and heir of Mr.
The film was the brainchild of Keith Chapman – who was also behind children’s television in the global hit ‘Paw Patrol’. Mike Medavoy and Appian Way Productions are co-producing the film.
‘Ozi’ is produced and funded by CGI Film and is in full animation ahead of a scheduled release in the summer of 2022. Tim Harper is directing the screenplay project written by Ricky Roxburgh.
