For TikTok star Addison Rae, 20, that may have happened after she greeted former President Donald Trump, 75.

However, the real drama unfolds when Rae decides to tap the former president on the shoulder and politely introduce herself as she sits in the middle of her entourage.

The video shows the content creator at the event for a side gig doing red carpet interviews approaching the former chief executive and saying, “Hello! I’m Addison. Nice to meet you.”

Once TikToker caught the attention, the two shook hands and he mentioned that “he just needed to say hello” and “so nice to meet you.”

After NELK’s YouTube channel uploaded a video of the exchange on July 13, users on TikTok, YouTube and Twitter began sharing their shock or sympathy with Rae.

One Twitter user expressed confusion as to what Rae’s purpose was at the moment.
