5 insults Trump threw at fellow Republicans in the upcoming book

Former President Donald Trump has not slowed down when it comes to insulting people since leaving the White House.

In an excerpt from Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker’s upcoming book I Alone Can Fix It published on Monday by Vanity Fair, reporters highlighted moments from their one-hour interview in March with Trump where he tore up some of his disliked Republicans.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) Seems to have gotten the worst of it. “He’s a fool,” Trump said. “I don’t think he’s smart enough.” Trump also referred to the senator as a “knucklehead” because the filibuster was not removed, and said he had no “personality.”

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R), who didn’t give in to Trump’s false statement that the 2020 election was stolen from him in large part because of voter fraud in the state, was described by Trump as an “acquaintance- horrible Republican “who” did everything he could to block voter integrity. ”

Trump considered the GOP Sen. moderate. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) Who was a “light,” and referred to Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) and former House Speaker Paul Ryan as RINOs (Republicans In Name Only), though the latter was hit with a “super-RINO.”

And in the midst of all that, Trump was still able to bring out the late Senator John McCain unconditionally. McCain, Trump told Rucker and Leonnig, “was a bad guy … a bully and a bad guy … a lot of people hated him.” Read the full excerpt at Vanity Fair.
