ND is trying to create a new GOP named after Trump

BISMARCK, ND (KFYR) – A group of North Dakotans is trying to form a new political party named after former President Donald Trump.

Trumps America First GOP is registered with the Secretary of States Office as a commodity name. On the website of the Secretary of State, the nature of the business will be used for our Political Party in ND.

According to the Secretary of State’s website, the merchandise name is owned by Mitchell Sanderson of Park River, and co-founded with former State Supervisor candidate Charles Tuttle.

Last week, they also registered the Biblical Trumps America First ND Republican Party available for advertising for the party to collect dues and conduct business in the ND.

As Secretary of State Al Jaeger confirmed, his office does not recognize the group as a political party until they meet state requirements.

These thresholds include having candidates for President, governor, attorney general, and secretary of state, and receiving at least five percent of the popular vote in these careers.

Right now, its just a simple name that others can’t use.
