Michael Cohen said he thinks Jared Kushner turned on his father -in -law Donald Trump. It comes as prosecutors in NY continue a criminal investigation into Trump’s business empire. He said it is noteworthy that Kushner’s name is not in all the proceedings so far. LoadingSomething is loading.
Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, said he thinks Jared Kushner has flipped his father-in-law as the criminal investigation into Trump’s business empire intensifies.
Cohen did not offer any evidence for his belief, but he said he thought this was the case because of how little mention of Kushner was made.
He noted Wednesday that Kushner’s name was not in “all the controversy, allegations, and arrests” around the investigation. He assumes it was because Kushner was already cooperating with prosecutors.
“It’s interesting how Jared Kushner … appears to be absent from all the controversies, allegations, and arrests,” Cohen tweeted. “Will he fall next or a collaborating witness? Knowing what a snake he is, I bet the latter!”

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office on July 1 released a 15-count indictment against the Trump Organization and Allen Weisselberg, the chief financial officer. The felony charges include grand larceny and tax fraud, and go as far as what prosecutors say is a deliberate, year -long procedure by company executives to avoid taxes.
The lawsuit against Weisselberg twice listed an unnamed accomplice in the scheme to evade taxes, leading to speculation that one of Donald Trump’s immediate family could be the next to face the charges.
Weisselberg is one of Trump’s most trusted staffers and told prosecutors in June that he would not flip his boss, The Washington Post reported in June.
Since then, commentators have speculated that the prospect of criminal and prison charges could tempt members of Trump’s own family to turn around.
Cohen previously accused in June that both Ivanka and Jared were involved in creating false documentary evidence on behalf of Donald Trump. No evidence of that has emerged since then.
Mary Trump, the former president’s estranged niece, thinks her daughter Ivanka who is married to Jared Kushner might be persuaded to give evidence against her father.
“As counter-fitting as this may sound, I think Ivanka is, one, more loser, and, two, more to hang on to. Her husband’s family is legitimately very rich,” Mary Trump told The Daily Beast earlier in July.
