“I feel so lost and so alone in what is going on.”
Jessie J was diagnosed with Mnires disease in December and since then has been dealing with a mysterious throat disease it makes it difficult for her to sing. Now she’s giving fans another health update.
“Yesterday I tried to sing a song that I can usually sing along with [sic] ease, and I could not. The problem I have is not my voice but is performing [sic] my voice, “the 33-year-old pop star wrote on Instagram Thursday, adding that she was “sobbing” and letting herself feel “the broken part of me”.
“6 months and I still can’t go a full day without pain in the middle of my neck / throat,” she continued, speaking of her battle with Mnires disease – a disorder affecting the inner ear that causes severe dizziness, ringing in the ear and hearing loss. “Some days are so much better than others.”
The “Price Tag” performer continued, “95% of the time I’m good. Positive and strong. That’s what I’m primarily describing here. But that 5% will increase if not recognized. So yes. , sometimes like yesterday. I break. All hope disappears. I feel so lost and so alone in what is happening. “
“I guess I’m sharing this because people always tell me how do you stay so positive all the time and the truth is I don’t,” she said. “I definitely don’t unpack and live the way I felt yesterday. But I’m not proud to always pretend I’m okay. It’s not healthy.”
The “Bang Bang” singer then shared an empowering message to “anyone else going through a testing period, telling them,” I can feel you. I see you. We will do it. “
