Pop icon Billie Eilish is a man for keeping silence on women’s rights issues in light of Texas’ new abortion law.
Texas abortion law prohibits all women from having an abortion except those who are less than six weeks pregnant.
The 19-year-old singer wrote in an Instagram story: “I really wish men cared more. It makes me sick how many men don’t say anything when it comes to women’s rights.”
“If you and your ‘buddies’ or brothers don’t talk about abortion laws in Texas, chances are you are part of a problem,” she said.
The singer is not the only celebrity to denounce the law. Earlier, Reese Witherspoon also protested against this, as she wrote on Twitter: “I stand with women in Texas who have the constitutional right to make decisions about their health and their own bodies.”
