the out of 83 is less than a week away and after waiting for the film for almost two years, fans have come to expect this film to be a cinematic experience. Based on the actual story of Team India winning the 1983 Cricket World Cup, 83 was directed by Kabir Khan and the stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role. Deepika padukone, who plays Romi in the film, is also one of the film’s co-producers and if his reaction is to be believed, this film is everything moviegoers have been waiting for.
In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Kabir shared that Deepika was upset when she saw 83 for the first time. Bajrangi Bhaijaan manager said he thought Deepika had called him by mistake because there was not much sound from the other side. “I thought she mistakenly called me because I was saying ‘Deepika, hello’, and there was a silence. She couldn’t speak, she was choking.
Kabir continued, “She said ‘I’m so sorry, so sorry I’m too overwhelmed I can’t speak’ and I said ‘Deepika, you don’t need to say anything more. . What you said in that line and the way you said it, I know exactly how you felt about the film ”.
The team of 83 was recently in Dubai where they promoted the film. The trailer for the sports drama aired on Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, in the presence of Ranveer, Deepika and other members of the team.
Alongside Ranveer and Deepika, 83 also stars Hardy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi. The film hits theaters on December 24.
