The first music video from Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, and Siddhant Chaturvedis upcoming horror-comedy film, Phone Bhoot, is here. called Kinna Sonathe song is quite a departure from the usual dance videos we see in Bollywood, and seems rather interwoven into the plot of the film.

Featuring spooky sets with people dressed like theyre ghosts, the songs choreography is not fluid, festive, and celebratory. Instead, choreographer Ganesh Hegdes steps picturized on Katrina, who plays a ghost in the film, seem more mechanical and robotic, like a skeleton moving. The song itself is a slow-paced electronic track to match that dark vibe, too.

While this video is not like Chikni Chameli, Sheila Ki Jawanigold Kala Chashma, it definitely involved some difficult dance steps, which Katrina aced per usual. Giving that stony, frosty look to the camera to reinforce her characters persona, Katrinas execution of the moves happened to be flawless despite the complicated choreography.

Adding a lighthearted, humorous touch to the song, Ishaan and Siddhant were adorable in the video. Not only was their dancing excellent, but their expressions conveyed the cuteness and goofiness we can come to expect from their characters in this film.

Maybe our ears are not evolved enough to get the vibe of the vocals

The only thing that seemed lacking in the song were the vocals in the hook, which go like Kinna sona lagda hai tu tu tu, lagdi hoon hand hand hand, teri meri jodi, cute lagde The deadpan tone of the melody was perhaps intentional, owing to the nature of the moviebut it prevented the song from being one that most would wish to listen to again.
