PORT ANGELES – The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center will host “Civic Minds + Creative Hearts: Climate Change and Resiliency” today.
The event from 6-8 p.m. at the center at 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd. will provide an in-depth look at the long-term glacier monitoring research at Olympic National Park that inspired the “Terminus: A Glacier Memorial Project” and exhibit, which is on view through September 3.
Presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a panel discussion.
Tickets for the event are $12 for center members and $15 for the general public and can be purchased at https://pafac.kindful.com/e/civic-minds-creative-hearts-climate-change.
The panelists are Bill Baccus, Physical Science Technician for Olympic National Park; Ian Miller, Washington Sea Grant Coastal Hazard Specialist and Peninsula College Oceanography Instructor; and Liz Schotman: Washington Regional Director for Surfrider Foundation.
