Blake Lively wore a tulle dress in the perfect princesscore style

Since Lively is known for being her personal stylist, we can’t help but wonder if she drew inspiration from the magical trend that’s been slowly popping up everywhere since Tess Holiday appeared in a strawberry dress at the 2020 Grammy Awards: princesscore.

“This trend is a cross between adored cottage style but with high appeal that creates a glamorous statement,” Stitch Fix Stylist Stephanie Valponi told Shop TODAY. “It touches our desire for femininity and strength but in an acceptable way.”

“Blakes’ princess dress was so appealing when she found a corset that complemented her figure perfectly,” she added. “I love how she’s paired with comfortable shoes that still, are stylish, have that sparkle.”

Fashion stylist Stacee Michelle told Shop TODAY that we can credit shows like “Bridgerton” for trend revival, but subtle plays on trends, like flowy dresses and puffy sleeves, have found their way onto store shelves over the past few years.

“Gone are the days where there needed to be a special occasion to dress up,” Michelle said, adding that the growing popularity of this trend allowed women to “live their own fairy tales.”
