Versatility, style and comfort are the main features of Zegnas’ new luxury casual wear line, the brand says
Ermenegildo Zegna has launched a new collection Fall/Winter 2021, labeled (RESET) What Makes a Man, which addresses the changing needs of men’s fashion as a result of the global health crisis.
This line is supported by the #WhatMakesaMan campaign which reflects the changing lifestyles of modern men and how this affects their fashion behavior.
Ermenegildo Zegna will showcase the Fall/Winter 2021 range among other product innovations in the future Virtual Travel Retail Expo, where it is the Golden Partner.
Combining elements of business, casual and casual wear, this range offers a new luxury wearable wardrobe for Zegnas customers. It was designed by Ermenegildo Zegna Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori.
This collection represents a move away from formal wear and instead includes hybrid wear in the luxury casual wear category. It features refined fabrics and innovative jersey knitting techniques.
This collection introduces new Zegnas wardrobe items including The New Jacket and Overshirt that serve as an alternative to the traditional blazer. It also features a Triple Stitch Sneaker, enhanced with recycled wool from the sustainable #UseTheExisting range.
The #WhatMakesaMan campaign features a diverse lineup of five Zegna Global Brand Ambassadors. The list includes French dancer Mickael Lafon, Japanese model Yura Nakano, fashion buyer Ingo Sliwinski, American model Maggie Maurer and American photographer Jon Bronxl, with each ambassador challenging traditional notions of masculinity.

This reflects a change in Zegnas’ product strategy, which places versatility at the forefront of its collections. While Ermenegildo Zegna has a legacy of 110 years in men’s tailoring, the pandemic has caused a shift in his approach.
The way modern men dress, their needs and habits have changed a lot over the past year, comments Sartori. Customers are looking for a different style as they shift to more fluid silhouettes and multifunctional yet comfortable clothing. Therefore, clothing should transition seamlessly between indoor and outdoor to reflect the way we behave and feel.
For me, this is a great time to rethink what is possible, to reconsider what really matters and to rebalance style as we are called to respond to the changing times. A new aesthetic is needed: fluid, youthful, adaptable, where comfort goes hand in hand with style.
The Zegnas Autumn/Winter 2021 collection seeks to redefine luxury menswear for everyday life in a post-pandemic world when work, play and at home meet
