Philadelphia Home Invasion: 3 men dressed as policemen break into Roxborough’s house on Henry Avenue, witness alerts police

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Three men dressed as police officers broke into a house in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, witnesses told authorities.

The home invasion took place around 1:00 a.m. Monday at block 8200 Henry Avenue.

Around that time, neighbors woke up to the fire alarm.

“It’s loud. Pretty crazy. I don’t know what’s going on,” said resident Matt Sonon.

Neighbor Austin Tillotson said: “The fire alarm went off; people were a little worried. We really didn’t know what was going on until the police showed up.”

Tillotson was worried so he asked investigators what was going on.

“We obviously asked a question and they said there were three of them, they were wearing ski masks and of medium height. We took that description but we were just watching,” Tillotson said.

Police said the men were armed; they wore dark clothes with police vests and had police-style radios.

Investigators said the robbers stole mobile phones and rental car keys before fleeing the scene.

No injuries were reported.
