Alcohol is strongly associated with a person’s stroke risk. As per a recent study, it was found that one to two drinks per day can increase the risk of stroke by 10-15 percent. And people who drink for a portion of alcohol, the risk of stroke increased by 35 percent.
Not only that, alcohol also increases the risk of obesity, liver damage, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and diabetes.
Furthermore, the experts found no significant association between reduced stroke risk even when consuming a limited alcohol intake.
