“We want viewers to feel a little uncomfortable and think about the value of personal belongings,” says Avetisian. “Style accessories for fashion shoots are mostly about success, sex, luxury aesthetics. But this series shows the feelings I have when looking for an old leather jacket to make a bag. When I saw the last bag I still had that old jacket and that place was found in my mind. For me, it’s not about luxury, but this clothing journey.”

The series hopes viewers will revisit discarded objects — and remember that creativity can give them a second life. “All the shoes in the photo shoot were recycled; his little bag was made of a second-hand leather jacket from a thrift store,” the designer added, “and the bottom for his sandals in the water was found in a trash can near my house.
