Since making his solo debut with his album, Lalisa, in September 2021, Thai rapper and BLACKPINK member Lisa has made big strides. His latest music release is “SG,” a Spanish collaboration with DJ Snake, Ozuna, and Megan Thee Stallion which is short for “Sexy Girl.” And with Blinks—aka the BLACKPINK booth—supporting Lisa’s new solo effort, they also requested that she appear on the Zach Sang Show after the radio DJ asked which fans wanted to see her interviewed. Thankfully, the star’s conversation with Zach was uploaded to YouTube on November 18, and he opened up about transitioning to a solo career, working with his producer, Teddy Park, and a possible BLACKPINK comeback.

Naturally, Zach asked what it was like to take over his solo project as opposed to being part of a hugely successful girl group like BLACKPINK. Lisa opened up about being a creative director, from choosing color schemes to overseeing graphic design for her projects outside of the group. Lisa’s choices even came down to the hair, makeup, and clothes she wanted to wear.
“Everything is challenging, but it’s fun to like, get to know me better; to know what I like and what I don’t like,” she told Zach. “I can choose my clothes, like what I want to wear for my music video, right? Sometimes, I feel uncomfortable with some clothes. [while part of BLACKPINK], but for me being a solo, I try to choose what I feel comfortable with.”
Zach also asked if Lisa had any other musical collaborations in mind, but the rapper admitted that he hadn’t even considered that possibility. “I haven’t thought about it because I just finished my solo project,” he said, “so I think we should be together with BLACKPINK.”
We can’t wait to see Lisa grow into herself during her solo era and how she chooses to incorporate her creative decisions when it comes to reuniting with Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé.
