Tess Daly’s style transformation from model to fashion queen Strictly Come Dancing

With the Strictly Come Dancing finale just under a month away, yes only MONTHS, we’ve taken a look back at all of her incredible dresses that have graced our screens over the last few years and Tess Daly in particular wowed us with her outfit choices this year.

Throughout Tess’ career, she has excelled as a model, novelist and television presenter where she has been presenting Strictly Come Dancing since 2004. She really has come a long way with her style and this season of the show has been by far the most stylish thanks to her stylist James Yardley who dresses up the star for all the looks.

We look back on his transformation over the years…

1990 model day

The model that will soon be scouted outside a McDonald’s restaurant is pretty cute. Tess Daly, whose real name is Helen Daly, had to reconsider her name as another model is already famous with the same name.

Just six weeks after turning 18, she took her first modeling job in Tokyo and continues to be a part of many successful projects. We’re not too sure about the red top, but we’re sure it’ll have to be seen at the time.

Wedding Bells – 2003

She met her now husband Vernon Kay back in 2001 while appearing on Channel 4 T4 together and two years later they got married and are still going strong to this day.

How young do they look in their wedding photos? Tess chose an A-line strapless dress from Marina Adanou for the special occasion. She completed her look with a long veil and sparkly tiara and a pair of Jimmy Choo – she really looks stunning.

Two becomes Three – 2004

Just last month the star reminisced about her first pregnancy carrying Phoebe. In the sweet snap, the star captioned: “Flashback to this young stuff! Who would have thought I was pregnant with my eldest 17 in a few weeks! Time flies,” she says. She really has that pregnancy glow and brings out her style.

After presenting shows like the ‘Find Me a Model’ competition, Smash Hits TV and ‘Make Me A Supermodel’, she finally got her big break replacing Ulrika Jonsson on ITV’s hit makeover show ‘Home On They Own.’ A year later he was asked to co-host Strictly Come Dancing in 2004 with the late Bruce Forsyth and the rest is history!

Fast track of a few years, the presenter has now been on Strictly Come Dancing for 17 years and still wears the perfect look week after week and we love this chic Karen Millen blouse and combo paired with Dune embellished heels – she’s really come a long way .
