European Fashion Accelerator Boosts Young Designers

[ad_1]

This year’s edition of the European Fashion Accelerator (EFA), a platform dedicated to promoting young Central European designers, was held in Prague and featured nine designers under the age of 28 from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.

The designers — Anna Sibitka and Yaxian Feng from Hungary, Kristina Honcarivova and Anezka Mackova from the Czech Republic, Lukasz Kubinski and Kamila Majka-Dziedzic from Poland as well as Juliana Brnakova, Natalis Repkovska and Adela Babinska from Slovakia — were selected by a jury of fashion industry experts and, as part of the program, were given guidance on how to create collections from pre-production stage onwards, and tools for setting up their own e-commerce operations.

They are also given access to professional photographers and videographers to help put together a virtual presentation of their collection.

Since entrepreneur and philanthropist Karolfna Bosakova launched EFA in 2012, the platform has helped kickstart the careers of more than 60 young designers from the region.
