“Emily in Paris” is back, and so is her polarized personal style.
Sneak peek and stills from Season 2 of the Netflix hit promising that the new episode, coming out Wednesday, will be packed with more leverage, candy-colored fashion fans adore — and critics find “ringarde,” citing a term from the show itself.
But the series’ costume consultant, Patricia Field, told Page Six Style she wasn’t letting the haters bring her down.
“I couldn’t, because I would be confused,” the fashion legend, best known for his whimsical work on “Sex and the City,” told Page Six Style recently.
“I can only work from my eyes, and from the inspiration I get from the actors.”
In the case of “Emily in Paris” Season 1, that meant summoning dozens of pairs of Christian Louboutins at the request of lead actress Lily Collins, and playing her striking resemblance to Audrey Hepburn in a classic black cocktail skirt for a scene in ballet.

The glamorous nod to the past continues in future episodes, with Field pointing to one of Emily’s travel appearances as her favorite from Season 2.
“She took the train from Paris to the French Riviera, and got off the train and she was wearing this silk coat – very pretty, with the light print on it – and white fingerless gloves,” she said. “I’m very happy with that.”
Fans will be able to get their hands on the right character gloves, as they are a part of The new Seymore collaboration from Field; at $298, this style deserves the nickname “The Emily.”

“I love gloves, and gloves need to be resurrected from the antique shop,” the costume whiz explains. “I was like, ‘I’m going to bring gloves back to the modern girl who rides a bike, who drives a car.’”
And who’s on the train, it seems.
“Emily in Paris” Season 2 premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, December 22.
