eStream brand figures Shibuya Scramble Figure announced new 1/7 scale Asuna figure inspired by Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night. The Asuna Crystal Dress figure will be available for preorder from December 23, 2021 to March 10, 2022. The figure will be priced at 38,500 (approximately $337) and has no shipping date yet. Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night released in Japan in October 2021. It was shown in theaters across the United States and Canada on December 3, 2021, and in Australia and New Zealand on December 9, 2021. In November, it was announced that a sequel to the film would premiere in 2022, titled Progressive Sword Art Online: Scherzo from Dark Twilight. The second film will adapt the fourth volume of the light novel series.
Originally published as a light novel series by original SAO creator Reki Kawahara, Sword Art Online Progressive focused on Kirito and Asuna as they aimed to clear the basement of Aincrad in the early days of the game. The rebooted series began in 2012, and all eight volumes are currently available in English through Yen Press.
The Asuna Crystal Dress figure will be available for pre-order from December 23, 2021 to March 10, 2022.
