Fashion rose to its peak this year and broke the boundaries of many styling impossibilities. Designers of all shapes around the world are creating new styles, breaking the usual norms of the fashion world.
These new fashions, however unusual, became a trend that was widely accepted by the people. It ushered in a new style dimension that allowed many people to explore and combine their styles.

Face mask always a part of fashion but never quite incorporated into contemporary clothing.
This year, the wearing of face masks found their way into contemporary fashion and became a fashionable trend. People complete their outfits with full face masks. From evening wear to everyday wear, and street fashion attire, a full face mask crowns it all. There are different face masks, satin, and metal among others.
Fashion icons from Kim Kardashian to Kanye West, Wizkid and many more have graced the full face mask trend, providing a unique, distinct style that will never be forgotten.
Big/oversized shoes
People will think this will never be in fashion because of the cute looks that add to one’s looks.
However, big, oversized shoes are taking over in 2021 and many are falling in love with the style. These oversized footwear, also known as mascot shoes, allow many to let go of some of the discomfort that comes with wearing shoes that fit your size.
In a fashion article by Vogue, a wearer of oversized shoes revealed that the feeling of wearing oversized shoes is like a walking foot massage being cradled by the luscious soft foam and kissed by a fluffy coat.
I guess people don’t have to worry about smelly feet and sore toes that sometimes occur from wearing well-fitting shoes. This is undoubtedly a trend that puts comfort above appearance.

Just coming out of lockdown covid has had an impact on the fashion world. Being indoors for more than a year leads to wearing sportswear and jogging for outdoor activities.
Previously, sports and jogging clothes were mostly worn indoors and to the gym. 2021 flips it around and turns these outfits into everyday fashion. Many people around the world go around wearing joggers and tracksuits while doing their daily activities.
The convenience they bring makes it a style that is wholeheartedly accepted all over the world. During the covid lockdown, many around the world are talking about the weight gain and loss of fitness due to the cancellation of outdoor activities.
So, jogging helps to give confidence to individuals who are not comfortable with their post-lockdown body. Most importantly, tracksuits and joggers introduce a cool touch of street style to fashion.

Wearing body shapers is no stranger to the world of beauty and fashion but, TikTok tummy-tightening and butt-lifting leggings are coming fresh with 2021.
It started just as a fashion trend haul on TikTok and many fell in love with how it made their bodies look. With this, it later became a part of fashion all over the world.
TikTok’s famous leggings help to grab the waist and lift the butt cheeks, giving women an hourglass figure. However, some revealed it didn’t work for their bodies but most got good reviews. Making it a great choice for many people to wear and not make them worry about their tummy and hips.

We haven’t forgotten the blings this year. This year saw lots of shiny, sugar, lace sequences and velvets. Following this trend, one thing that stands out for us is the nude fabric that fits snugly against the skin and gives a natural effect.
