Carrie went back to writing and writing and writing and writing. And Like That episode 7 begins with a full minute 11 seconds as he types on his MacBook. He had more than enough material for a memoir, and it wasn’t long before he found a publisher willing to pick it up. There was only one hitch: It left the editor feeling, well, desperate. (perhaps better than listening to Ches’ podcast.) He was determined Carrie could lighten it up by providing a date description. It turned out that Seema thought the same, as he had already registered his new friend for three applications. Nobody buys real estate in the winter, so I decided to list you, he told Carrie over dinner, proving once again to be a likable substitute for Samantha.
In the end, Carrie (reluctantly) thanks the staged broker [her] like an apartment. She settles on a gray-haired man named Peter (Jon Tenney), leading to what feels like her first date night in thousands of years. Check out that look and more from fashion’s most famous episodes below, and revisit last week’s here.
Carrie outfitted her spring 1997 Jean Paul Gaultier jumpsuit with a bold red tie before heading to the office she knew would officially be her publisher. The movement feels so Sex and the city-Carriage era, which is the atmosphere his editor seeks more in his book.
Sorry Carrie, but Seema is probably the best dressed character in And Like That… His realtor friend Lanvin’s figurine bag is front and center as he fills the gang on his mission. I’m not quite ready yet, he told a gleeful Charlotte. It was mandated by my editor Dramatic Pause and Oprah. (His book club appears to be eyeing the memoir.)
After welcoming Seema into her inner circle, Carrie spends time alone with Miranda. Maybe it’s because they’re discussing how Carrie has a hard time imagining herself having sex again, but her new Nano riff on the Fendi baguette feels a little symbolic. She also wore a vintage raw silk robe, while Miranda opted for a long, boho-style outfit.
After hours of staring at herself in the mirror, Carrie once again chose Norma Kamali. She headed to her date with fellow widower Peter wearing a powder blue one-shoulder dress made of stretch jersey, which was complemented by a built-in bodysuit. (As Kamali noted on Instagram, sold at affordable prices [at least by Carrie standards] $215.) Paired with a sequined Paco Rabanne clutch, it would have been a very eye-catching look if it weren’t for her silk satin MaxMara blazer. Somehow, he didn’t get any stains when he and Peter finished their last drink and promptly spit it back out into the street.
Leave it to LTW to play tennis on Prada. Another game with Charlotte reveals she also has Fendi in her wardrobe.
Oh Lisa, we missed you in episode 6. She may not know how to use a microphone while auctioning off a lunch date with Carrie (who is very reluctant) for charity, but LTW definitely looks great trying to do it. The centerpiece, of course, is the statement necklace. The latest is the crab-shaped Zodiac Cancer design by Schiaparelli.
Naturally, he didn’t stop there when he made the statement. Her asymmetrical dress is complemented by a train.
These benefits gave Miranda her first chance to enjoy Che’s presence in months. Between Ches’ brocade suit and Mirandas Altuzarra’s midi dress, they didn’t really look too outlandish as a couple. Miranda was so overcome with emotion during sex that she went ahead and confessed her love. you fall in love with you, with me, Che answered neatly.
And just like that, Carrie found a glimmer of hope. She’s still wearing the spring 2009 LWren Scott dress (a rare and welcome nod to the late designer) that she wore to auction when she heard from Peter, who saved the day when no one had bid to take her to lunch. Looking forward to Date #2, he sent a message with a gag emoji. Smiling to himself, he headed straight for his trusty MacBook.
