Danielle Brooks married!

Earlier today, Orange Is The New Black The actress took to Instagram to share photos from her wedding to fiancé Dennis Gelin, and looks are everything! The couple chose Miami as their fairy tale wedding destination and held the ceremony at the historic Alfred DuPont Building. The photos look like something out of a movie, as the couple’s daughter, two-year-old Freeya Carel, played the flower girl for the beautiful ceremony.

In an interview with Mode about her special day, the actress revealed that she always knew she wanted two dresses for her wedding and that it was important to work with a designer who meant so much to her. For her first appearance, Danielle opted to wear a Christian Siriano 3 in 1 princess party dress which was transformed into a bodycon dress and pants look.
“We thought it would be best to do a first look so we could continue with the bridal party photos and not hold our guests back after the ceremony. I decided to use Christian Siriano for the reveal. We have been friends since my career first started,” said the actress Mode from the first look of the dress.

But it’s just as important to Danielle to work with designer Black and for that, she chose Alonuko by designer Oluwagbemisola Okunlola for her second look. “It was very important to me to find a Black wedding dress designer,” she said on Instagram. “When I tell you I found the jackpot @alonuko_bespoke, I hit the jackpot.”

She continued, “She was amazing to work with and even flew all the way from London two days before my wedding to make sure the dress arrived on time. Thank you for your talent and professionalism! Bride, hire her!!! Thank you for adding to my special day!”

Danielle looks so stunning in her wedding photos that one photo is not enough. Here are other pictures the actress shared on her Instagram today, showing off both dresses and giving her fans and followers a glimpse of the beautiful ceremony.

“Words cannot express how grateful I am to have a friend like you,” she wrote in the caption. “You have kept me from one of my first carpets to the most important day of my life! I love you and appreciate your friendship! Thanks for my 3 in 1 dress! Love you @csiriano”

And here’s another photo of her second wedding dress, where she captioned the photo, “I’m married now! .”
