Since the pandemic hit, many trends from roaring ’20s and the excess of the 80s has reappeared. Makes sense: The flapper era — full of The Great Gatsby-party and sequins – follows World War I. Meanwhile, the 80s follow two decades of social and political upheaval (sound familiar?). Thanks to the recent wave of Omicron, we’re not in full party mode yet. It’s a good thing that designers are bringing trends, like bangs, party trim, and statement sleeves, in a way that we can incorporate into our everyday lives. Fendi’s 2021 fall season, for example, includes bangs, a furry coat paired with a minimalistic slip dress, while Proenza Schouler sports a bangs cut in a simple silhouette.
