It’s come to be known as Super Monday for a reason, with three of London Fashion Week’s biggest names — Roksanda, Preen and Erdem — unveiling their latest collections in quick succession.
This trio of brands, among the most distinctive in British fashion, all built their name on their very different approaches to the one-stop do-it-all wonder that is the dress. This time round their respective aesthetics had been re-tooled to focus at least as much on separates.
First up was Roksanda, a label celebrated for its kaleidoscopic embrace of color and its architectural approach to volume. The rainbow palette was still there, and so extravagant were the shapes that at times it felt only the lofty environs of Tate Britain could have passed muster
