4 men arrested and charged after woman killed in hit-and-run on Spadina Avenue | Crime

Four people have been arrested and charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed 30-year-old Erin Yoxall in Toronto’s Fashion District.

The collision happened on Thursday, April 14, shortly after 3 am, on Spadina Avenue, just south of King Street West.

According to investigators, a woman was in the southbound lanes of Spadina when she was hit by the driver of a white 2019 or newer Mercedes AMG GT convertible with a red interior and top. The motorist reportedly speeded away from the scene, police said.

The victim was rushed to hospital with critical injuries, but died there two days later.

On Tuesday, April 19, officers from 22 Division arrested three men.

Sinesha Bogojevic, 41, and Zachariasz Billik, 37, both of Toronto, and Milorad Nikolic, 44, of Mississauga, have each been charged with one count of failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death, public mischief and obstructing police.

A fourth man, 42-year-old Ertug Direk, of Toronto, turned himself in to Toronto police’s Traffic Services on April 19.

Direk is believed to be the driver of the Mercedes that struck Yoxall and fled the scene. He was arrested and charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death, failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death, public mischief and obstructing police.

This investigation is ongoing and police believe there are “several other parties” who helped the driver after the collision.

Police said they expect to make further arrests.
