Introducing the most flattering dress ever

I bought my first wrap dress in a vintage store on the Kings Road in 2002. It was a 1980s geometric print jersey style from Diane von Furstenberg. In that moment, in a room with a shag carpet and a crushed velvet chair, I discovered the power of a perfect-fitting wrap dress. It can transform everything.

Today, more than 20 years later, I’ve had to adapt my wrap-dress requirements to suit an ever-changing shape as I age, but I’ve never gone without one or two hanging in my wardrobe each season.

A wrap dress works for every woman, of every shape and every age. If you are in your 20s, its probably a dress you throw on and run out the door in. In your 30s, you might pair with bigger pants. But from your 40s forwards, its likely your needs will change. For me, jersey wrap dresses can only be worn alongside a firm pair of Spanx.

I prefer fabrics these days that skim rather than hug. But I am always on the hunt for the one that wraps in just the right place. You see, not all wrap dresses are created equal. The most important element is where the tie on the dress falls. For a wrap dress to work its miracle, it needs to hug in right where the sand falls through that hourglass of a figure!

Finding the right wrap dress will be akin to finding your fashion hug. Try one, two or three on for size. I promise this is a style you wont regret embracing.
