Kate Hudson On Being The OG When It Comes To Belly-Laying Maternity Outfits

Kate Hudson is one of those people who don’t only wears many hats as a businessman and actor, but does it in such a way that everyone wants to emulate his ‘cool girl’, easygoing, easygoing approach.

He might make his screen debut in a drama Desert Blue (1998) as a teenager, but it was Cameron Crowe’s semi-autobiographical film that is now a cult favorite Almost famous (2000) which made her a breakthrough artist in Hollywood and a Golden Globe recipient for Best Supporting Actress. And who could forget her character Penny Lane’s Woodstock-esque wardrobe of lit Levi’s 501s, tan suede mini skirts, crop tops, and platform wedges?

In recent years, the name Hudson has become synonymous with that gold backless dress from How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, and a red carpet moment at Michael Kors. But long before such people Rihanna lauded for showing off their pregnancy bump in public, Hudson reminds us that she “showed some belly” in the early nineties.

Ahead of the release of his latest film, Glass Onion: The Mystery of the Knifethe mother of three children sat together HE is British to look back on her memorable fashion moments over the years.

“I was pregnant with Ryder,” she began, recalling her two-piece silver Chanel look at the 2003 Venice Film Festival. “I can’t believe now that I look back at how young I was.” I remember when I popped my belly out it was like ‘huh’, and I was like “it’s not that big… it’s just my belly”. But I got my stomach out and it caused a bit of a stir.

“Now people like their belly out, but I love it.” It was my favorite fashion moment for me.’

Elsewhere in the video, Hudson looks shocked as she thinks back on her Gap T-shirt, “mom” jeans and Dr. The martens she wore for a walk on Park Avenue with her mother, actor Goldie Hawn.

“I was with my mom, Goldie, and I probably wore the Gap,” she said of the look. ‘I’m very athletic. There was a time when it was all a Gap. That’s not interesting at all. For me, I mean, looking back, I’m like no, not my style.’

To her mother’s nineties ensemble, she added: “I love my mother’s wardrobe. This is a very cute image. My mom’s old uniform was a bodysuit, jeans and a waist bag. It was my mom for most of my childhood, whether it was a white bodysuit or a tank top, but also light jeans – stonewash jeans – and cowboy boots or boots of some sort… But my mom probably still had that waist bag and probably still wears it. We call it the ‘hands-free life’.’

As for him Onion Glass Birdie Jay’s eye-catching colorful dress, designed by costume designer Jenny Eagan, Hudson remembers as her ‘hero dress’. “I absolutely love it and of course, I’ve been wearing that dress for a long time. About a month and a half. At the end I was like ‘thank god Jenny made something so comfortable and easy to wear’.’
