BEST FASHION MOMENTS 2022

As the first year in the post-pandemic world, 2022 will be a good year for fashion trends. Designers and stylists come up with new looks, celebrities experiment and the runway shines from catchy silhouettes, and accessories to more subtle fabrics. We list the best of the year.

HEAVY ON THE VELVET

Fashion saw a resurgence of all things velvet like suits, turtlenecks, outerwear, and accessories. Jared Leto and Andrew Garfield wore sleek velvet tuxedos with polka dots from Gucci. Suits are always big, but this year, ditching shirts is a new twist. Debuted by celebrities like Simu Liu, Shawn Mendes, Harry Styles, Jonah Hill, and Lil Nas X and seen on the runways of Dries Van Noten, Louis Vuitton, Heron Preston, and Balmain, it’s safe to say that he was shirtless and only wore a suit himself or the blazer jacket is a smash hit.

Initially, prints were limited to spring and summer. Today, with a variety of prints in tie-dye, sketches, patchwork, graffiti, geometric figures and abstract artwork taking over, these myriad prints are bringing a higher meaning of art into fashion.
