Bed Stuy Gateway BID Winter Wonderland, presented by Wells Fargo, recently teamed up with premier designer Brooklyn Moshood for an exclusive winter fashion show.
According to BID Bed Stuy Gateway, some of the brightest faces from the Borough of Kings took to the runway in signature looks from the legendary designer’s latest collection.
Items include chunky denim, bonnet ponchos, prairie skirts, plaid tops, and other pretty items adorned with Moshood’s signature masks.
In addition to fashion forward exhibits, Dale Charles, executive director of BID Bed Stuy Gateway and Jonathan Nowlin, Moody Nolan, architect, Fit as Clause for festive toy giveaways.
Kids young and old stop by Santa’s cove for specially wrapped gift items, while parents patronize the various vendors and crafters along the streets of Winter Wonderland, Bed Stuy Gateway BID said in a statement.
Customers can also hop on the The Bed Stuy Gateway BID Winter Wonderland Trolley to visit shops and merchants throughout its business district, he added.
Bed Stuy Gateway BID says the festive outdoor holiday shopping experience gives local grocers the opportunity to increase foot traffic, while offering a viable platform for crafters, creatives and small business owners to showcase and sell their goods and services.
Winter Wonderland is a collaboration with Neighborhoods Now, an initiative from the Urban Design Forum and the Van Alen Institute to support local organizations leading their community’s pandemic recovery.
Supporting partners include Con Edison, TD Bank, Van Alen Institute, Urban Design Forum, Buro Happold, Dash Marshall, Moody Nolan, Fried Frank, Gretel, Block by Block, New York City Department of Transportation, and Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Company.
Centrally located in Brooklyn, Bed-Stuy Gateway BID says it has proudly stood as one of the region’s most prominent commercial and cultural focal points.
