Corsets, bustles and top hats! Fashion during the Victorian and Edwardian Era was known for elaborate displays of social status and unique silhouettes! Does this fashion still inspire people today?

History Speaks! College series returns in 2023! Join us on Gaslamp Museum on Wednesday, January 18 on 7 nights Marty Ornish, an internationally known textile artist, will present a brief history of Victorian fashion and showcase his art influenced by Victorian, Edwardian and other fashion eras. A discussion of some of the dangers of Victorian Fashion, and how clothing styles have been updated, will be included.

This lecture will be presented live and via zoom!
