With Anne HathawayA recent style renaissance, the actress is having fun with fashion and seeing what sticks. Last spring, he jumped coastal grandmother trend, and by the fall, he was really great. And now, apparently reinventing herself once again, Anne has entered another fashion phase.
Over the weekend, Hathaway said goodbye to her linen pants and latex dressand herald a new era when she attended the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. At the premiere of her new film Eileen at the Eccles Center Theater on Saturday, Anne showed up in an outfit that screamed ’90s grunge.
Dressed in a black minidress featuring spaghetti straps adorned with gold clasps and a mesh fabric panel at the back, the dress was very reminiscent of the fit LBD worn by ’90s style icons (Kate Moss, Courtney Love) especially when paired with sheer tights and black high-heeled combat boots. Anne complemented it with small gold earrings and a black bag with a gold chain slung over her shoulder.
While her glam is usually pretty and polished, Anne went a different direction and styled her hair in tousled waves, finishing her beauty look with a dark pink lip and black liner.
Earlier in the day, Anne was seen in another staple that is synonymous with the decade of grunge fashion. Signing autographs and posing for photos with fans outside the festival, Hathaway wore an oversized flannel shirt with a black turtleneck underneath, and paired her layered shirt with the same black leggings and chunky boots as before.
