Ready Player Me Launches Feature Labs

[ad_1]

Ready Player Me has launched a new experimental arm called Ready Player Me Labs starting with an AI-powered avatar generator for unlimited outfit customization.

Labs’ first release is a new, experimental version of the company’s avatar maker that leverages AI to customize and style the textures and prints of avatar outfits that can be shared across social media platforms. Utilizing Dall-E, the platform generates textures and prints based on user requests.

This step was made in response to a frequently asked request by Ready Player Me users.

It’s unrealistic for any brand or creator to cater to the diverse needs and preferences of billions of people online, says Ready Player Me CEO and co-founder Timmu Tke.

Unlocking customization options empowers users to take part in creating their own assets and shaping their digital identity. We want those using our avatars to feel as if they are digitally represented in whatever style and fashion they desire, he added.

AI is critical to opening up new workflows and processes for our teams to scale and continue to build tools and services for developers and users to build things we couldn’t even imagine.

Ready Player Me Labs will be offered free to the public and will serve as a testing ground for new features before rolling them out to users and developers. Further upcoming Ready Player Me Labs features include AI-based avatar styles, gender-neutral body types, multiple body shapes, and age preset options.

Brands are seeking to participate in the metaverse, and some are considering creative approaches beyond simply replicating their real-world products for use in cyberspace, said Toke.

Ready Player Me Labs provides opportunities for these brands to experiment with AI for customization and convenience and to explore how AI can be incorporated into their metaverse plans.

The platform has forged partnerships with leading brands such as LOreal, adidas, BMW, Calvin Klein and New Balance.

Ready My Player is a cross-game avatar platform for the metaverse, which allows users to create 3D avatars with selfies and deploy them in more than 6,000 compatible apps and games. The company has raised a total of $72.5 million in funding.
