St. Louis Battlehawks Surprise San Antonio Brahmas In Wild Mode

The XFL is back, ready to bring even more excitement to fans today. First, the San Antonio Brahmas host St. Louis Battlehawks. As expected, fans were ready to rock the Alamodome.

Heading into this fight, there was a lot of hype surrounding the two teams. Brahma is led by HC Hines Ward, a former Super Bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Meanwhile, Anthony Becht has compiled a list of talented players at St. Petersburg. Louis, ready to fly against the SA.

No one was surprised, it was close combat. There was a wild turn in the fourth quarter – so let’s see what happens.

First round

To start the game, St. Louis received the ball. AJ McCarron is out for the Battlehawks, ready to show the XFL what he’s capable of. After a quick start, Battlehawk stalled, and had to punt.

Kalen Ballage is great for starting San Antonio. He landed a few big punches right away, which kept Brahmas attacks in rhythm. However, the tipped pass ended up in the hands of the Battlehawks, as Nate Meadors threw an athletic interception to return the ball to the STL.

Interestingly enough, with St. Louis had the ball in midfield, they did at 4th and 1st. McCarron ousted Jake Sutherland, and the San Antonio Brahmas took over on the way down. Jack Coan pushed the ball down the field, putting SA in scoring position. Parker Romo scores a field goal, and the Brahmas lead 3-0.

AJ McCarron couldn’t find his groove in the first half. He missed another WR, Jennings, on third down, so the Battlehawks had to punt again.

Second Quarter

On San Antonio’s next drive, they began to settle down as an offense. Landon Akers and Jacques Patrick both make impact plays to keep the chain moving. After an extraordinary journey, St. Louis plays. Travis Feeney took the ball from Coan, and then took it, returning it all the way.

After a good field position, St. Louis finally took advantage, somewhat. Michael Scott makes a crucial sack on AJ McCarron, forcing a field goal. Donny Hageman attempted 32 yards, tied the game at 3.

Throughout the first half, it was clear that both defenses were in control. No offense can get into any rhythm, no matter what the game calls it. The offensive line was a disaster, failing to block properly at all. St. Louis forced another shot from San Antonio, hoping to score once more before half-time.

It was a similar story for St. Louis, because they have to kick the ball again. LB Ben Davis made several clutch plays for San Antonio, giving them the ball right back.

The Brahmas were able to string together the first few punches. WR Jalen Tolliver made a ridiculous catch down the middle, and Patrick helped put the team in position to score. However, Parker Romo failed to score, and we entered the first half with a 3-3 ball game.

Third Quarter

The San Antonio Brahmas line made a better push to start the second half. Ballage landed some big profits, which allowed Coan to start finding recipients. Defense of St.

It was a bad outing for the Battlehawks, again. Penalties and poor line play led to three more and outs, as McCarron was sacked by Kobe Smith. At this point in the game, St. Louis only had two first downs total. Obviously, that’s not how you win a ball game.

Meanwhile, the Brahmas also looked rusty. Jalen Tolliver dropped a pass on third down, which led to another SA punt. However, the STL dies in the water. Ranthony Texada attacked McCarron, who had no chance – and the Battlehawks had to punt again.

Heading into the final fifteen minutes, it was a 6-3 ball game.

Fourth quarter

It is the beginning of the final period for Brahmas. Jack Coan led the team onto the field, making play after play. He then found Fred Brown in the end zone for the score, which put San Antonio on top 12-3. However, the missed PAT made it a one-score game.

Brian Hill set out for a sprint for the Battlehawks, but it didn’t matter. After a decent ride, McCarron stuttered – and so did St. Louis. Louis. Donny Hageman hit a field goal, and the score remained 12-3.

San Antonio continued to pick up yardage chunks, bolstered by Kalan Ballage and his sneaky, powerful presence in the backfield. Parker Romo scored a 48-yard field goal, which put San Antonio on 15-3 with only minutes left to play.

Well, it looks like the ending of the game will be slow. That idea proved wrong, instantly. AJ McCarron drives the ball down court with ease – out of nowhere. On the 3rd and 12th, he found Hakeem Butler for scores, making it a 15-9 ball game.
