The 49-year-old discussed silk chiffon dresses during Vogue’s Life In Looks where she looked back at the most striking outfits of her career.
In a video for Vogue, which was released earlier this week, Amber talks about the “famous jungle dress” she wore in 1999.
“I wore it on the runway, then obviously I did a campaign – and then JLo wore it to the Grammys,” she said.
Amber said the singer’s look was “a huge iconic moment,” adding: “This dress was Googled more often than any other look in history.”
‘Really broke the internet sometime [JLo] wear it, it’s cool to be a part of that history, but I put it on first.’
And, as recently as 2019, JLo was still referring to the statement printed dress.
She received a standing ovation from the audience at the Versace Spring/Summer 2020 presentation during Milan Fashion Week when she recreated her look.
In the interview with Vogue, Amber also referred to her appearance on Todd Oldham’s ‘famous’ Spring/Summer show in 1995, which she called a ‘funny moment in fashion’.
The incident saw fellow model Shalom Harlow overtake Amber at the end of the runway, which many ruled showed a rift.

Amber also refers to her appearance on the ‘famous’ Todd Oldham Spring/Summer show in 1995, which sparked rumors of a rift between her and fellow model Shalom Harlow (shared photo).
He revealed: “What’s funny is people like to make this into a drama, which is funny to me because it’s not a drama.”
Amber said Shalom had walked “really cute” down the runway, before adding: “She felt the short skirt and was suddenly in front of me at the end of the runway, which was obvious.” [we] usually not done.
‘We started walking back and I remember him saying to me like ‘follow me’ so I walked obviously as fast as I could because he was walking at a very fast pace and then he said ‘now turn.’
The two posed and exchanged glances before heading backstage.
Amber admitted she was “walking really slow” that day before blaming it on “her shoes”.
And, despite the excitement, the two remain good friends to this day.
