Sun Devils Face Oregon to Open Pac-12 Tournament

OJAI, California. The No.44 Sun Devil Men’s Tennis heads to California to compete in the 2023 Pac-12 Men’s Tennis Championship. Arizona State is seeded the 8th seed in the tournament and will face the 9th seeded Oregon Ducks on Wednesday, April 26 at 12:00 p.m. MST. Arizona State (13-10, 2-6 Pac-12) suffered a tough loss against No. 1 Arizona University. 16 in which the Sun Devils took two singles games thanks Jacob Bullard and No.40 Murphy Cassone.

ASU is now setting its sights on Oregon. The Sun Devils battled the Ducks twice this season, with both games ending in wins for the Devils. They first faced the Ducks in the Diablos Tennis Tournament where ASU won in dominant fashion, 4-0, with great play from the entire team. The second game on April 9 at the Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe ended in a 4-3 win as the Sun Devils earned double points and won three singles matches against No. Murphy Cassone, Max McKennon And Spencer Brachmann.

The 55 Oregon Ducks (13-23, 2-6 Pac-12) last game was a win over the No. 17 Stanford Cardinals, 4-1. This win ended a five-game losing streak for the Ducks who were all against conference opponents. The Ducks’ roster includes national doubles team No. 34 Joshua Charlton and Quinn Vandercasteele.

The winner of Wednesday’s play-in match will face the No. 1 seed. 1 USC Trojans on Thursday, April 27 at 12:00 PM MST.
