Florida State Rises To No. 24 In Ranking

TALLAHSSEE The Florida State women’s tennis team (16-10, 8-7 ACC) moves up to No. 24 in the latest ITA ranking released Tuesday.

Seminole moved up the rankings after winning six of their last seven games, including a 4-0 win against Louisville in the second round of the ACC Championship. A win against Louisville helped Florida State advance to the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament for the 26th time in school history.

Florida States’ 16 wins this season include six ranking wins and two wins over top 20 opponents.

Senior Vic Allen boasts a team-high 14 wins in the spring and is ranked No. 73 in the country. Junior Anna Arkadianou has won two matches in a row, including a win over 24 matchesth-ranked singles player in America, and 64th in singles. Arkadianou and freshman Millie Bissett, who tied for 8-2 in doubles, are tied for 52nd in doubles.

The State of Florida will find out Monday’s NCAA Tournament goals. The Women’s NCAA Tournament Selection Show is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m
