ACPD: Man sticks phone under woman’s clothing on mall escalator

Police are looking for a man who slipped a phone under a woman’s clothing as she climbed the escalator in Pentagon City.

The incident occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the Pentagon City mall.

The woman told police she believed the man was trying to record her. She screamed at him and he ran before the officers arrived.

“At approximately 10:25 pm on May 9, police were dispatched to a report of suspicious circumstances,” Arlington County police said today. crime report. “Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was climbing the escalator when he observed [unknown] the suspect was holding the phone under her dress.”

“The victim confronted the suspect and he ran from the area,” the ACPD said. “Responding officers combed the area for suspects which yielded negative results.”
